Import a cut list from CSV, PDF or a photograph

Use the downloadable template when possible. Keep one part type per row and provide material, length, width and quantity. Part IDs, grain and edging can travel with the row instead of being re-entered.

The optional file reader can extract likely rows from a PDF, spreadsheet, scan or photograph. It sends the file to the AI service described in the privacy notice and may require sign-in.

Compare every imported row with the source: units, decimal marks, length versus width, quantity and material. A successful upload does not prove that the source was interpreted correctly.

Is CSV reading done by AI?

No. The standard CSV format is parsed directly. AI is used for less structured documents and images.

Does the original file go into a shared project?

No. A browser-retained file is not included in the public project link.

Can I start without a file?

Yes. Manual entry and pasting rows remain available.
